Forbo Flotex Sheet is a flocked floor covering that combines the cleaning properties and durability of resilient flooring with the comfort, slip resistance and acoustic characteristics usually associated with textiles. The declaration covers Flotex Sheet in a wide range of designs and colours, including Flotex Colour, Flotex Vision, Flotex Naturals, Flotex Hospitality & Leisure and Flotex Designers/Created by, manufactured and printed using rotary and digital print methods. Flotex is made by electrostatically flocking millions of Nylon 6.6 fibres into a watertight backing, creating a strong, hygienic and waterproof floor covering. It complies with EN 1307 for textile floor coverings and is manufactured at Forbo’s Ripley facility in the United Kingdom. The product construction includes a surface pile layer, adhesive layer, glass-fibre reinforced PVC cushioned backing and additional backing elements. The declared unit is 1 m² of installed flooring product. The EPD is in accordance with ISO 14025, EN 15804+A2 and EN 16810 and reports GWP A1-A3 of 7.13 kg CO₂e per m².
