Skyfold Mirage® Series
SM ID: SMM-922811
Skyfold Mirage® is an automated vertically operating glass movable wall system designed to provide flexible interior space division while maintaining openness, natural light transmission, and visual connectivity. The system accommodates glass and acrylic (plexiglass) panels and incorporates integrated sealing interfaces to enhance acoustic performance, delivering Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings up to 33 (Rw 33). Designed for conference rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, hotel ballrooms, gymnasiums, convention centres, and commercial office environments with tall ceilings, the system complies with ADA, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 requirements. Manufactured in Baie-D'Urfé, Québec, Canada, the product is composed primarily of 47% steel, 32% wood, 17% aluminium, 2% plastics, and 2% other materials, weighs approximately 13.63 kg/m², has a reference service life of 50 years, and is produced using the Canadian electricity grid, which is predominantly powered by renewable hydropower.
The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is prepared in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2 and is independently verified by the Institut Bauen und Umwelt (IBU). The declaration follows a cradle-to-gate with options life cycle assessment covering A1–A3, A4, A5, B6, C1–C4, and Module D, evaluating environmental impacts from raw material extraction, manufacturing, transportation, installation, operational energy use, end-of-life processing, and recycling potential. The Skyfold Mirage® system has a Global Warming Potential (GWP A1–A3) of 35.5 kg CO₂e per m², incorporates approximately 6.87 kg of secondary (recycled) material, and is designed for 100% collection for recycling, with metals and electronic components recovered through recycling at the end of their service life. The EPD provides transparent, independently verified life-cycle environmental data to support LEED, BREEAM, and ESG reporting
