"TrueGreen Gas Based Direct Reduced Iron is produced by EMSTEEL in a shaft furnace using reformed natural gas to reduce imported iron ore pellets, yielding high-purity DRI pellets (Total Fe ≥90%, Metallic Fe ≥84%, Metallization ≥92%) with low sulphur and phosphorus content. The pellets serve as a primary feedstock for Electric Arc Furnaces and, to a lesser extent, Basic Oxygen Furnaces, offering a reliable substitute for high-quality scrap in steelmaking. The Environmental Product Declaration follows ISO 14025:2006 and EN 15804:2012+A2:2019, covering cradle-to-gate (A1–A3) impacts for the declared unit of one metric ton of product. The GWP-total is approximately 213 kg CO₂e per ton, reflecting the natural-gas-based reduction process powered by clean electricity at the Abu Dhabi facility."
