Forbo Sphera is a phthalate-free resilient homogeneous vinyl sheet floor covering developed for commercial and light commercial buildings, especially healthcare and other demanding facilities where durability, wear resistance and hygienic welded seams are required. The declaration covers the Sphera collection, including Element, Energetic, Elite and Essence sub-collections in 2.0 mm nominal thickness. Sphera complies with EN ISO 10581 for homogeneous polyvinyl chloride floor coverings. Key raw materials include PVC, plasticizer, mineral filler and stabilizers. Its construction includes Forbo’s SMART-top PU lacquer finish for easy cleaning and maintenance with enhanced protection against scuffing, scratching, dirt retention and staining, together with a compact pigmented PVC layer produced as a homogeneous sheet with non-directional visual appearance. Forbo notes that the Sphera facility was purpose-built as a modern production unit and that the product is sold worldwide. The declared unit is 1 m² of installed flooring product. The EPD follows ISO 14025, EN 15804+A2 and EN 16810 and reports GWP A1-A3 of 5.75 kg CO₂e per m².
