dormakaba BEST Precision 2000 Series is a heavy-duty Grade 1 exit device engineered to provide exceptional reliability, security, and long-term performance for high-traffic buildings. Designed with a simplified internal mechanism and fewer moving components, the Precision 2000 Series delivers smooth operation with minimal maintenance, making it ideal for healthcare facilities, educational institutions, government buildings, hospitality, multifamily residential, retail, and commercial buildings. The exit device complies with ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1, ANSI A117.1 (ADA), UL/cUL Listed, Florida Building Code, Miami-Dade Hurricane Code, California State Fire Marshal, BAA, and TAA requirements. Manufactured in Indianapolis, USA, it is primarily composed of 43% stainless steel, 30% steel, 14% brass, 6% paper, 5% electronics, and 2% zinc, weighs 12.04 kg, and has been independently tested to exceed 10 million operating cycles, far surpassing the ANSI Grade 1 requirement of 500,000 cycles. The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is prepared in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2 and is independently verified by the Institut Bauen und Umwelt (IBU). The declaration follows a cradle-to-gate with options life cycle assessment covering A1–A3, A4, A5, B6, C1–C4, and Module D, evaluating environmental impacts from raw material extraction, manufacturing, transportation, installation, operational energy use, end-of-life processing, and recycling potential. The BEST Precision 2000 Series has a Global Warming Potential (GWP A1–A3) of 51.5 kg CO₂e per exit device, incorporates 5.53 kg of secondary (recycled) material, and is designed for 100% collection, with approximately 10.7 kg recovered for recycling at the end of its service life. The EPD provides transparent, independently verified life-cycle environmental data to support LEED, BREEAM, and ESG reporting.
