dormakaba Extension Module 90 30 / 90 31 is a compact electronic access control expansion module designed to extend and customize dormakaba access control systems by providing additional input/output (I/O) capacity. The modules connect directly to dormakaba Access Manager 92 00 or Remote Readers 91 15 / 91 25, enabling flexible expansion of existing installations for door control, lift control, alarm management, and window monitoring. The 90 30 module provides 8 relay outputs, while the 90 31 module provides 8 monitored digital inputs, allowing tailored access control configurations for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. Certified to EN 55032, EN 55024, EN 62368-1, UL 294 Security Level 1, CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 62368-1, RoHS 2011/65/EU, and EMC/Low Voltage Directives, the product is CE marked, operates within 0–40°C, offers IP20 protection, consumes 5 W (active) and 2 W (idle), and has a reference service life of 12 years. Manufactured in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, the product consists primarily of 46% electronics, 31% paper, 23% plastics, and less than 0.5% stainless steel, with a total packaged weight of 0.192 kg. The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is prepared in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2 and independently verified by the Institut Bauen und Umwelt (IBU). The declaration follows a cradle-to-gate with options life cycle assessment covering A1–A3, A4, A5, B6, C1–C4, and Module D, evaluating environmental impacts from raw material extraction, manufacturing, transportation, installation, operational energy use, end-of-life processing, and recycling potential. The declared unit is one Extension Module 90 30 / 90 31, weighing 0.192 kg including packaging. The product contains no REACH Candidate List substances above 0.1% by mass, is designed for 100% collection at end of life, with electronic components recycled, plastics directed to energy recovery, and minimal residues landfilled, and reports a Global Warming Potential (GWP A1–A3) of 2.38 kg CO₂e per unit. The EPD provides transparent, independently verified life-cycle environmental data to support LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, and ESG reporting.
