Forbo Eternal is a resilient heterogeneous vinyl sheet floor covering for general-purpose commercial and residential project applications. The EPD covers Eternal sheet flooring of 2.0 mm nominal thickness with a 0.70 mm wear layer, including Eternal Wood, Eternal Material, Eternal Digital, Eternal Colour, Eternal de Luxe and Eternal Original design families. Eternal complies with EN ISO 10582 for heterogeneous polyvinyl chloride floor coverings and is made from PVC, plasticizer, mineral filler, stabilizers and glass fibre. The construction includes a PU lacquer surface for easy cleaning and enhanced protection against scuffing, scratching, dirt pick-up and staining, a transparent or pigmented wear layer, a printed decorative layer using water-based inks, an intermediate glass-fleece reinforced layer and backing layers. Forbo states that Eternal is produced by Forbo Flooring and sold worldwide, with manufacturing aligned to its low-carbon and renewable electricity objectives. The declared unit is 1 m² of installed flooring product. The EPD follows ISO 14025, EN 15804+A2 and EN 16810 and gives GWP A1-A3 of 4.54 kg CO₂e per m².
